• Pioneering litigation in intellectual property law and affirmation of local inventions at the Kenya Industrial Property Tribunal, High Court of Kenya and African Region Intellectual Property Office in Zimbabwe involving Sanitam Services (EA) Ltd and Rentokill Initial (K) Ltd

• Pioneering registration of intellectual property rights in Kenya involving local intellectual invention

• Lead counsel in numerous multi-billion shilling arbitration cases involving top-tier construction firm, Nyoro Construction Company, and the Government of Kenya

• Represented Nyoro Construction Company in a multi-million shilling arbitration case vs University of Nairobi

• Lead advisor in trademarking for TMD (K) Ltd, the largest motor vehicle dealership in the Mt Kenya region

• Lead advisor for trademarking for Delta (K) Ltd, a leading petroleum company in Kenya

• Lead counsel for numerous election petitions in the 2022/23 polls, representing the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC)

• Lead advisor for PPP projects, representing Tana & Athi River Development Authority

• Lead litigator for residential associations, including Gigiri Village Association, Tigoni Residents Association, and Kentmere Residents Association in assertion of environmental preservation & conservation rights under the Constitution of Kenya and Environment Management & Conservation Act

• Lead advisor in labour law litigation for KenGen

• Class-action litigator for assertion of adverse possession rights in Kiu Ranch

• Pro-bono litigator in child maintenance cases

• Lead advisor for Digital Lender's Association of Kenya (DLAK)

Dansa is an expert in civil litigation, commercial litigation, tax law and company compliance. She is committed to upholding justice and protecting the rights of clients as she approaches each case with diligence and professionalism to ensure the best possible outcome for those she represent. Outside work, I enjoy yoga and meditation, both of which help me maintain a healthy work-life balance. 

Education: 

LLB (Hons) Riara, Dip. Law KSL, CPSK (4) 

• Assisted in successful argument of consecutive high-stakes case at the Tax Appeals Tribunal and negotiated favourable settlements  on tax disputes on behalf of Kenbro Industries Ltd following a dissatisfactory decision by  the Commissioner of Domestic Tax.   

• Co-drafted the claim of a top-tier client in the construction sector in a multi-million KES dispute involving the Ministry of Roads and Transport before the Nairobi Center for International Arbitration (NCIA). 

• Acted for a private client in a succession cause where I undertook to transmit over 100 parcels of land and assisted in replacing missing titles. The brief also included two amalgamations of parcels they wished to sell.

With more than 5 years' experience in the legal sector, Nina has developed expertise in company law, civil and criminal litigation. She helps clients solve complex legal challenges. With one goal in mind, her approach to attaining positive results is visible through her keen client engagement. Outside work, Nina enjoys watching investigative documentaries and charity work. She has been involved in several health campaigns in liaison with the Ministry of Health.

• Handled a claim worth KES 21 million in damages for breach of contract
• Assisted in drafting pleadings for a claim involving one of the firms' major commercial clients in a claim for damages worth in excess of KES 10 million

Wangui is a qualified paralegal with experience in legal document presentation, research, and client communications. She is proficient in case management and assists the firm with case preparation. She has excellent communication and organizational skills and is passionate about providing quality support to advocates and clients. She is concurrently pursuing a law degree as a full-time student. 

Education: Paralegal Training - Mount Kenya University

Bryan is a qualified lawyer and public policy analyst with 7 years of multi-sector experience in sub-Saharan Africa, MENA, and beyond. He has developed a diverse portfolio of work spanning health, security, armed conflict, politics, and ICT. He has worked with The Economist Group, Small Arms Survey, and been engaged on projects with various regional and international organisations, including The World Bank, UNDP, and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD).

B.A. Political Science/Sociology (magna cum laude) - La Roche University; LLB (Hons)- Queen Mary; MSc. Conflict Studies (Distinction) - London School of Economics and Political Science; Associate (ACIArb) Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London).

Ken serves as the backstop of managerial  processes at the firm. He oversees financial and human resource administration, and strives to ensure our facilities & equipment are of the highest possible standard. He also coordinates communication among staff and monitors internal policies.
